FINES FOR NOISE TENERIFE |  The noise ordinance establishes penalties of between 751 and 3,000 euros

The Plenary Session initially approved the Noise and Vibration Ordinance. Failure to comply will entail fines that will range between 751 and 3,000 euros, depending on their classification as minor, serious and very serious. The standard includes acoustic zoning with delimitation of areas based on the predominant use, determines noise values ​​and limits as well as the schedule of celebrations and public parks to respect the neighbors’ right to rest.

The Noise and Vibration Ordinance El Sauzal has the support of the representatives in the City Council of Canarian CoalitionIndependent Association of El Sauzal–Nueva Canary Islands and the Popular Party. For his part, the Socialist Party councilor opted to abstain on this point.

The document now enters the period of public information and hearing of interested parties for a period of 30 days, a period in which complaints and suggestions may be presented, taking into account that, in the event that none had been registered, that period has expired. period the ordinance will be considered approved.

The mayor of El Sauzal and Councilor for Urban Planning, Mariano Pérez, has highlighted the importance of this regulation for the municipality taking into account that it aims to “make neighborhood rest compatible with leisure activity and commerce.” In summary, from his perspective “this ordinance protects all the citizens of El Sauzal.”

The new text, which was promoted by the Departments of Urban Planning and the Environment, gives way to regulations that complement the state legislation that applies in El Sauzal to date, according to the information provided by the municipal government after the plenary agreement. .
