The Tenerife fire continues to register about twenty views a day

He Tenerife fire which began on August 15 and was considered controlled, continues active and with continuous reproductions since October 9, mainly on the north side of the island, between the municipalities of The Orotava and The rosary.

Yesterday afternoon these reproductions that were stabilized were recorded mainly in Montaña El Haya and La Hornaca, in the municipality of Tacoronte; in La Vica, in La Matanza; at the points of Las Calderetas, Las Aguilillas and Campo de Tiro, in El Sauzal; in Las Charquitas, Pino Alto, Barranco Seco, Las Toscas and Farrobillo, in Santa Úrsula; in Mamio and Ramón Caminero, in La Orotava; and in Montaña del Cerro, in the municipality of El Rosario.

Likewise, during the night two reactivations registered in the area of ​​Pista Los Órganos and Casa del Agua, in La Orotava, and in Salto Molino, in the municipality of La Matanza, were considered controlled.

Early this morning, reconnaissance flights showed hot spots in Las Aguilillas, Las Calderetas and Carril del Polvo, in El Sauzal and three other smoky spots in the municipality of Santa Úrsula, so the efforts of ground and air means They have concentrated today in those areas, where the absence of wind has allowed them to be controlled.

In the last hours, while in Saint Ursula and The Orotava There have been no major reactivations, in the El Rosario area the extinguishing personnel have had to intervene in several points, as well as in La Vica and Los Dornajos due to a column of smoke, which have been controlled by aerial means.

Today seven aircraft and 108 personnel are involved in the extinction tasks between forestry brigades of the Cabildo (BRIFOR), Intervention and Reinforcement Teams (EIRIF) of the Government of the Canary Islands, Firefighters of the Tenerife Consortium, BRIF of the Ministry and the UME together with personnel from the Security Bodies and Forces, coordination personnel of CECOPIN, CECOES and the General Directorate of Emergencies.

The weather is again adverse today for the extinction of the fire since the archipelago continues to be immersed in a mass of warm air of African origin, with a flow today from the east-southeast, with slight increases in temperatures and contribution of haze, which will last until on Sunday. As for the wind, during these first hours of the morning it has been an E-SE wind with a probability of gusts of 40-50 km/h, being more likely uphill and from the afternoon and during the day tomorrow, the regime will predominate. of breezes.

The situation of maximum alert declared by the General Directorate of Emergencies due to the risk of forest fire in the Western Islands and Gran Canaria, as well as the pre-alert situations due to haze and high temperatures throughout the Archipelago.
