An Italian fugitive wanted for attempted murder and serious injuries arrested in Tenerife



The National Police has arrested in Adeje, in the south of Tenerife, a 44-year-old Italian fugitive who was subject to a European Arrest and Surrender Order issued by the judicial authorities of his country, for the alleged authorship of the crimes of homicide. in the degree of attempt and serious injuries, for which the arrested person could serve up to seven years in prison in Italy.

The investigators of the National Police, through the central bodies of the General Directorate of the Police for international cooperation, were aware of the possible presence of a fugitive from Italian justice on the island of Tenerife.

The agents of the National Police, faced with the possibility that this person could hide or flee the country given the nature of the events for which he was wanted by the Italian justice system, established an urgent device that led to his location in the facilities of a company located in the municipality of Adeje, where they had managed to locate the fugitive.

The national police officers, once their presence at the company’s facilities was confirmed, proceeded to arrest them and subsequently transfer them to the police stations. The detainee was placed at the disposal of the Central Court of Instruction No. 5 of the National Court of Madrid on guard duty, after which his imprisonment was ordered until his effective extradition.
