SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 12 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo of Tenerife facilitates the labor integration of minors and young people in situations of exclusion and social marginalization through the ‘Pre-Labor School’, which is managed by the Don Bosco Salesianos Social Foundation.
The initiative is part of the ‘Neighborhoods for Employment: Stronger Together’ program, a project of the Cabildo of Tenerife that is coordinated by the Insular Foundation for Training, Employment and Business Development (Fifede) and which has the participation of the Spanish Red Cross, Cáritas Diocesana, the Don Bosco Foundation and the General Foundation of the University of La Laguna.
The program is part of the Strategic Framework for Island Development (Medi) and is co-financed by the Canary Islands Development Fund (Fdcan), according to a note from the Cabildo.
The Minister of Employment and Education, Efraín Medina, explains that “the objective is to serve minors and young people who, for different reasons, experience situations of exclusion and social marginalization, and for whom standardized resources do not adapt to their personal circumstances.”
This project, once the course is completed, is referred to the coordination of the ‘Neighborhoods for Employment: Stronger Together’ program, “where they develop a personalized insertion itinerary or resume their studies,” they point out.
The ‘Pre-Labor School’ project, which is being developed in La Laguna and Puerto de la Cruz, aims to neutralize the situation of risk or social exclusion that young people are experiencing, through a comprehensive intervention plan that puts them at the center of the actions. .
The especially vulnerable group targeted are minors and young people who, for different reasons, experience situations of exclusion and social marginalization.
