He San Isidro school, in El Chorrillo, is one step closer to solving the problems that your facilities present. The Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands has committed to promoting the execution of a project valued at 616,399 euros for the improvement of this educational center located in El Rosario so that its users can have the best possible education.
This was indicated in a press release from the regional Executive after a visit to this school and the Leoncio Rodríguez, in which some access improvement and remodeling works have been completed. In that other case, the objective of the works was to provide the center with equipment adapted to the needs of the educational community and had a budget of 341,110 euros.
He general director of Infrastructure and Equipment, Fernando Miñarro, was accompanied by mayor of the municipality, Escolásico Gil; the first deputy mayor, Fátima Gutiérrez; the Councilor for Urban Planning, Juan Jesús del Rosario; the Councilor for Education, Esther García, and technicians from the Ministry.
The reform of the educational facilities has been the result of a cooperation agreement signed between the Ministry of Education and the City Council of El Rosario through which the center has been provided with a comprehensive reform that has responded to the demands of the school community, composed of 250 people, among students, teachers and administrative staff, who had been waiting more than 15 years for this performance.
The day continued with the visit to the CEIP San Isidro to review the deficiencies that it presents and that have been included in the technical report of the work drawn up by the Municipal Technical Office. There, Miñarro and his technical team verified the needs in terms of fencing, improving accessibility with the installation of an elevator, the legalization of low voltage installation and the construction of a small urban garden, the note states.
“Renewing and expanding educational infrastructure by establishing collaboration agreements between different administrations is one of the strategic lines of the current Government,” they state from this institution. The Ministry “is immersed in the review of the current situation of school facilities, as well as in the design of a modernization plan that allows all the islands to have educational centers that are accessible, safe, sustainable and adjusted to the particular needs of each territory”.
