The Mayor of Santiago del Teide Emilio Navarro recently signed the act of starting the construction works of the Grama Cultural Center of Santiago del Teide, which has a budget of €1,843,567.20 including IGIC and an execution period of 15 months.
The works that have been awarded to the company DESARROLLA OBRAS Y SERVICIOS SL will be carried out occupying the space of the current cultural center as well as the rear garden. They have a budget of €1,843,567.20 of which the Area of Roads, Mobility, Innovation and Culture (Insular Directorate of Culture) of the Cabildo of Tenerife provided a subsidy for cultural infrastructures that represents 90% of the total work. while the city council contributed the remaining 10%.
The current cultural center has facilities that, in addition to being insufficient, have become obsolete, making it necessary to renew and adapt them to the needs of a population that demands not only new spaces and facilities but also a degree of modernity and topicality.
For this reason, for the execution of the proposed reform and expansion, the construction of a new building, the object of this project, is proposed, occupying both the space of the current cultural center and the rear garden.
