SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 5 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Astrid Pérez, began this Thursday the first round of prior consultations on the budgets of the four bodies attached to the Chamber: the Commissioner for Transparency and Access to Public Information, the Canary Islands Audience of Accounts, the Advisory Council and the Common Council.
“We want to listen in advance to the heads of these bodies linked to the Parliament of the Canary Islands to find out their demands, priorities and budgetary needs before the Board definitively approves the accounts that will make their work possible in the 2024 financial year,” stressed Astrid Pérez.
This round of consultations began with a meeting with the Transparency Commissioner, Daniel Cerdán Elcid, which was also attended, electronically, by the first secretary of the Board and responsible for economic affairs, Mario Cabrera.
Astrid Pérez highlighted the importance of generating this type of meetings to be able to learn about the proposals and demands of the top officials of these public organizations, “which play a fundamental role in the archipelago,” a note from the Chamber states.
Daniel Cerdán also recognized the importance of this previous round, in which he was able to present the explanatory report of the preliminary draft expenditure budget of the Commissioner for Transparency and Access to Public Information for the financial year 2024.
In the coming days, Astrid Pérez will also meet with the president of the Consultative Council of the Canary Islands, Pablo Matos; the president of the Audience of Accounts, Pedro Pacheco, and the Common Deputy, Rafael Yanes.
