He Tenerife Council will reopen, from 6:00 p.m. this Friday, the TF-5 link at the height of the Villa slope.
The road had been closed since this August due to improvement works at the intersection with TF-217 and the construction of a roundabout.
In a statement, the Minister of Highways, Dámaso Arteaga, explained that the objective of the intervention was to gain fluidity on a road through which an average of 3,530 vehicles travel per day.
Likewise, the counselor added that the work, which is scheduled to be completed next December, will facilitate circulation at the crossing and reduce the risk of accidents.
The works will allow for a circular roundabout with an external diameter of approximately 30 meters, with three branches that “will save drivers the time they currently lose due to traffic jams,” the note states.
The budget for this work reaches 597,219 euros, of which the Cabildo will contribute 75 percent and the rest will be provided by the Santa Úrsula City Council
