Two people have suffered serious burns and have been affected by smoke inhalation in a fire that occurred this morning in a home located in the Tenerife municipality of San Juan de La Rambla.
The event occurred at 3:13 a.m. in a semi-detached house on Lorenzo Olarte Cullen Street and the two injured are a 71-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man, reports the 1-1-2 emergency service.
Both had serious burns and poisoning due to smoke inhalation. They were transferred first to the Hospital del Norte and, once stabilized, to the Hospital Universitario de Canarias.
Consortium firefighters extinguished the fire and ventilated the property.
