During the afternoon of this Wednesday, October 4, there was a new reactivation in the area of Las Charquitas and La Atalaya, in the municipality of Santa Úrsula. This is one of the seven reactivations of the fire Tenerife that originated in August in Arafo that have occurred since Tuesday night and, although it had already stabilized, it was reactivated again around 3:00 p.m.
The column of smoke is very striking, since it is affecting brambles and heather, which generates a lot of smoke and alarm in the population.
For his part, the Tenerife Council has reported that since midday, a good part of the emergency resources working to extinguish the fire have been deployed in this area.
In addition to Las Charquitas, the troops have also worked in El Carril del Polvo (El Sauzal) and Finca Los Arroyos (La Orotava).
Evictions
As a preventive measure, during the morning of this Wednesday Seven homes were evacuated in El Sauzal and its occupants returned to them after the stabilization of the fire.
