SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 4 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The executive vice president of Aena, Javier Marín; the general director of Airports, Elena Mayoral; and the director of Airport Planning and Regulatory Control, Sonia Corrochano, met today Wednesday with the president of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Rosa Dávila, and with the insular director of Territorial Planning and Historical Heritage, Isabel de Esteban, to explain the development of the expansions of the terminals of the island’s two airports.
Aena has reported that, currently, the project for the comprehensive remodeling of the Tenerife South Airport is being drafted and that, in the coming days, technical assistance for drafting the project for the adaptation of the terminal area of the airport will be put out to tender. Tenerife North-City of La Laguna Airport, as announced on July 25, when the corresponding airport to Tenerife South Airport was awarded.
All of these projects have been underway for months and will conclude within the validity period of DORA II (2022-2026). Aena has also recalled that the actions corresponding to the initiatives already started that are planned to be included in the DORA III proposal (2027-2031) may exceed 500 million euros.
This meeting is part of the usual meetings that Aena has held in recent years with all the presidents of the Cabildo of Tenerife.
