SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Astrid Pérez, received this Tuesday in the regional Chamber the general in command of the Civil Guard in the Canary Islands, Juan Hernández Mosquera, whom she thanked for the great work carried out by the more than 3,500 men and women who make up the different units of the Benemérita on the islands.
Astrid Pérez valued the work carried out by Mosquera since his appointment in November 2022, as well as “the dedication and effort of thousands of civil guards who are at the service of our islands every day.”
The president gave General Juan Hernández Mosquera a copy of the book ‘The Campaign of the RIF and the Canary Islands’, published on the occasion of the centenary of the participation of the Tenerife Mountain Battery in the Moroccan war.
This visit is part of the round of institutional contacts of the Presidency of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, according to a note from the Chamber.
