SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A cayuco with 280 migrants on board arrived early this Tuesday afternoon at the port of La Restinga, in the municipality of El Pinar, Maritime Rescue sources inform Europa Press in a first count of the occupants.
The cayuco was sighted just over a mile from the coast of El Hierro and a Maritime Rescue vessel left to meet it and finally accompanied it to its entrance to the port where the migrants were treated by members of the Red Cross and the Canary Islands Emergency Service.
It is the third boat with migrants that arrives this Tuesday to the island that has received almost 500 people, plus another 124 who have landed in Fuerteventura after sailing aboard three boats.
