The Tenerife International Film Music Festival (Fimucité) has announced the dates for its 18th edition, which will take place from July 5 to 20, 2024 after the return to the summer season of this event specialized in soundtracks, in which more than 7,000 people enjoyed the six concerts scheduled in its seventeenth edition, dedicated to the universe of comics and superheroes, and their parallel activities.
The concert program, original productions designed by Fimucité for their premiere in each new edition of the Festival, offers each year a range of proposals marked by excellence and the interpretation of popular soundtracks of great interest to the audience. World premieres and renowned international guests, both composers, artists and other industry professionals, make the Festival a key event in the cultural offer of the Canary Islands and a must-see event for both local audiences and those coming from all over the world.
In the words of the composer and conductor Diego Navarro, director and founder of the Tenerife International Film Music Festival, “the 17th edition of Fimucité has marked the return of the Festival to the month of July, from where it should never have moved. We recovered the spirit summer of the oldest film music festival in the world. A great edition full of varied activities and concerts that delighted our audience. A festival consolidated years ago, an indisputable mark of the culture of our land that is already on its way to its of age.”
