SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 1 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Three people have been injured in a traffic accident that occurred this Saturday on the Boquerón highway, in the municipality of La Laguna, in Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The injured were a 19-year-old man who, at the time of initial assistance, had various moderate traumas; a 61-year-old man, who suffered moderate trauma to his wrist and shoulder; and a male of unknown age who only suffered minor injuries.
The event occurred shortly before seven in the afternoon, when the 1-1-2 operational room received an alert reporting that a collision had occurred between two vehicles and that there were people trapped, so it activated immediately the necessary emergency resources.
Once at the scene of the accident, members of the Fire Consortium proceeded to open the doors of the vehicles that had been deformed so that their occupants could get out. The SUC personnel assisted all the injured and transferred them to different hospital centers.
The Civil Guard regulated traffic in the area and instructed the corresponding procedures and the staff of the Island Road Center of the Cabildo de Tenerife was in charge of cleaning the road after the accident.
