SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 1 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 48-year-old man has died in a house fire on Fernández Navarro street, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The event occurred last morning, around 1:40 a.m., when the 1-1-2 operational room received an alert informing that a fire had broken out in a home and that there could be people inside.
Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources and a medicalized ambulance and another basic life support ambulance from the SUC, members of the Firefighters Consortium, Local Police, National Police and Civil Protection went to the scene.
Firefighters rescued a man from inside the house with smoke inhalation poisoning who, once outside, went into cardiorespiratory arrest. Immediately, the SUC staff performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers on him without success, confirming his death.
The Local Police and Civil Protection collaborated with the emergency services and the National Police took charge of the body until the arrival of the judicial authority and carried out the corresponding procedures.
