SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, September 29 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Two cayucos arrived today, Friday, in the Canary Islands from the African continent with more than 140 migrants on board, some of them minors, as reported by Salvamento Marítimo.
One of the canoes was intercepted 11 miles south of Gran Canaria with 74 sub-Saharan men, being rescued by the ‘Macondo’ rescue boat and taken to the Arguineguín dock.
For its part, the ‘Adhara’ sea rescuer sighted another canoe with 99 people (6 minors) approaching La Restinga, so it was in charge of escorting it to the port.
