SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, September 29 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo of Tenerife has awarded the services contract for the drafting of the construction project of the interchange and the undergrounding of Chayofita Avenue in Los Cristianos (Arona) for an amount of almost half a million euros.
The Minister of Mobility, Eulalia García, explained that both the Los Cristianos interchange project and the burying of Chayofita Avenue represent “two strategic actions with a view to improving mobility in an area that supports a high volume of traffic since “The circulation coming from the port converges, with a notable maritime traffic to which is added that generated by a tourist area.”
Likewise, he indicated that the Los Cristianos interchange will respond to a long-awaited demand from the southern town and will allow the reorganization of this important space in the town.
The Cabildo of Tenerife continues with the implementation of strategic projects both in road infrastructure and in the promotion of public transport with the aim of improving mobility on the island.
In this sense, the insular Corporation has recently put on public display the project for the execution of the direct lanes that will give access to the Güímar Valley Industrial Estate with a budget of 2.2 million euros, which will consist of the modification of the branches and in the construction of two new direct links to the polygon.
