SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, September 25 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The National Police have arrested in Adeje a 29-year-old Slovak fugitive who was subject to a European arrest and surrender order issued by the judicial authorities of his country for the alleged authorship of different fraud crimes, for which the arrested person could serve up to five years in prison in Slovakia.
The investigators of the National Police, through the central bodies of the General Directorate of the Police, became aware of the possible presence of a fugitive from Slovak justice on the island of Tenerife.
The agents, after the investigations carried out, located the fugitive in the southern part of the island. This person went unnoticed working as a waiter in a restaurant establishment near the leisure area of Playa de las Américas.
The national police, in a police device established for this purpose, proceeded to arrest this person and transfer him to the Local National Police Station of Playa de las Américas. The detainee was placed at the disposal of the central investigative courts, through his physical presentation to the Arona guard investigative court, to carry out the process of handing over the fugitive to the authorities of his country.
