A boat with 19 people of sub-Saharan origin arrived in the south of Tenerife this Sunday morning and was accompanied by Salvamento Marítimo to the port of Los Cristianos, where the occupants disembarked.
There are 19 men, four of them minors, according to sources from Maritime Rescue, the Red Cross and the 1-1-2 Emergency Coordination Center.
Salvamento Marítimo has reported that it received a warning at 8:10 a.m. about the presence of a canoe near the coast, in the vicinity of Marina San Miguel, and the Salvamar Alpheratz set sail to meet it.
The cayuco, 15 meters long, was accompanied by these boats to the port of Los Cristianos, where the migrants disembarked and were treated by members of the Red Cross and the Canary Islands Emergency Service.
No transfer to health centers was necessary.
