SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, September 22 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 46-year-old man has been seriously injured after being recovered from cardiorespiratory arrest in a gym in Puerto de la Cruz, in Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of 112 of the Canary Islands.
The events occurred at 10:42 a.m. this Friday in a sports center in the aforementioned municipality, where a user fainted, and the facility staff verified that the affected person had suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest, so they began to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers. with the support of the gym’s semi-automatic defibrillator, thus managing to reverse the cardiorespiratory arrest.
Subsequently, the health personnel of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) verified upon arrival that the affected person had recovered from the cardiorespiratory arrest and after stabilizing him, they proceeded to transfer him to the hospital; while from the emergency room, the SUC coordinating doctor contacted the cardiology service of the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital so that his staff would be pre-alerted of the patient’s arrival.
Local Police officers also appeared at the scene of the incident, collaborating with the intervening resources.
