The festivities begin in honor of San Joaquín and the Virgin of La Paz de Tamaimo

The town of Tamaimo is preparing for the imminent celebration of its festivities in honor of San Joaquín and the Virgin of La Paz that will be celebrated from Wednesday, September 20 to Sunday, the 24th of the aforementioned month, with various liturgical events and activities in its program. fun for all ages.

Thus, this celebration will begin this Wednesday, September 20, and will do so from 4:30 p.m. in Plaza Santa Ana, where the IV edition of the “Cheo Bonifacia” Stake Tournament and the II edition of the “David El Bicho” domino tournament will take place.

Regarding Thursday, September 21, starting at 06:00, there will be the traditional ringing of bells and a shower of flying birds announcing the beginning of our festivities, highlighting that a flowered reveille will also take place along the usual route led by the Fanfare of Santiago del Teide. It will be at 10:00 AM. when the Radio Curbelo teams arrive, although starting at 5:30 p.m. The 1st edition of the “Urbano Morales” Dessert Contest will be held, whose prizes will be the following: 1st Prize -Kitchen Robot-, 2nd Prize -cupcake/muffin machine- and 3rd Prize -Cake Pops Machine-.

Likewise, it will not be until 8:30 p.m. when we can enjoy the International Concert of the Tensamba 2023 Festival, highlighting that, at the end of it, those present will be able to taste a great paella under the musical entertainment of Rafa Oliveros.

As for Friday, September 22, starting at 4:30 p.m., the finals of the stake and domino tournaments will take place, while at 8:00 p.m. The Variety Festival – presented by Loli Guanche – will begin, which will feature performances by AF Tayme, a performance by the Santiago del Teide senior theater, as well as the Nueva Década group. Finally, starting at 11:00 p.m., the Great Verbena “Viernes del Tamaimer@” will begin, which will be performed by Grupo La Calle and the Maraury Orchestra.

On Saturday, September 23, for its part, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., the little ones of Tamaimo will be able to have a great time with a morning of children’s entertainment in Plaza Abelardo González, which will have bouncy castles-American track; crafts; face painting; great human ludo; human foosball and a popcorn machine. It will be from 4:00 p.m. when the 31st edition of the Cross Popular Santa Ana 2023 begins, whose registration will end on September 19.

Likewise, starting at 9:00 p.m., the Santa Ana Parish will host the celebration of a Holy Mass, which will be officiated by the parish priest Don Julián Azcárate and sung by the Canna group. At the end of it, the procession of the images will take place along the usual route, accompanied by the Municipal Band of Santiago del Teide, parish priest, authorities and faithful, highlighting that, during the procession, there will be a pyrotechnic display by the Toste Brothers of Los Realejos. Likewise, it will be from 11:00 p.m. when the Great Verbena begins, which on this occasion will be led by the Dinacord Orchestra and the Proyecto Joven group.

On Sunday, September 24, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., the 40th edition of the Santiago del Teide Popular Crafts Fair will take place, which on this occasion will take place on Méndez Núñez Street and will feature the entertainment of the parade by AF Tayme and AF Araza. It won’t be until 12:00. when the Holy Mass of San Joaquín and Peace begins, which will be officiated by the parish priest D. Julián Azcárate and sung by Raíces de Santiago del Teide, highlighting that it will have an offering offered by the Dance Workshops of Santiago del Teide . At the end of it, a procession will begin along the usual route, accompanied by the Municipal Band of Santiago del Teide, the parish priest, authorities and faithful present.

Finally, at 8:00 p.m., the Grand End of the Holidays Gala will begin, which will be presented by Tina León and Alicia León, and will feature performances by Septeto Boyeros and Grupo Magec; highlighting that, during the event, the trophies for the stake and domino tournaments will be presented and those present will be able to enjoy the music of Rafa Oliveros, which will liven up the closing of the festivities.
