The mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, highlighted the importance of this tool, which many citizens of the municipality are still unaware of, with which the City Council takes charge of the removal of the vehicle and also the processing of the corresponding deregistration. without entailing any economic cost for the population.
“One of the fundamental purposes that we pursue from the local Corporation is to avoid the illegal abandonment of cars in the municipality, especially in ravines or natural areas where any damage to the environment can occur,” added Luis Yeray Gutiérrez in this regard.
For her part, the councilor responsible for the Citizen Security Area, Cristina Ledesma, explained that, once the request is received from any person who uses this service, the request is processed for a crane to proceed with its removal.
But, in addition, the possibility is also offered for any neighbor who finds an abandoned vehicle somewhere in the municipality to alert the local Town Hall to proceed with its immediate removal.
“The only information that the owner must provide during this entire procedure is the supporting documentation of the car, including its technical data sheet,” explained Cristina Ledesma in this regard, who also highlighted that “once the vehicle is removed from the road, you can no longer claim or request its recovery.”
