SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, September 15 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo of Tenerife, through the Municipal Cooperation area, allocates a total of 499,980 euros to subsidize the installation or improvement of playgrounds in 13 municipalities of Tenerife.
The beneficiary municipalities of this subsidy, with a population of less than 10,000 inhabitants, will receive 38,460 euros each to install or rehabilitate playgrounds.
Specifically, these are the municipalities of Vilaflor, Arafo, San Juan de La Rambla, El Tanque, La Guancha, Fasnia, La Victoria, Buenavista, Los Silos, El Sauzal, Garachico, La Matanza and Arico.
The counselor, Sonia Hernández, explains in a note that this action “meets the need for the Cabildo, as a supra-municipal institution, to attend to the needs of all the municipalities of the island, with special attention to those that, due to their size or population , they have fewer resources.”
In this specific case, he details, “we guarantee that the municipalities with the fewest inhabitants on the island have leisure and family recreation spaces, as elements that improve the quality of life of citizens.”
The counselor also points out that in the field of municipal cooperation, “the importance of municipalism in the context of Tenerife is claimed, as well as the coordinating role of the Cabildo, which has to be a useful tool for social and territorial cohesion.”
With that will we will work during this mandate, with the aim of guaranteeing equal opportunities among all Tenerife residents, wherever they live,” he commented.
