The president of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, indicated this Friday that there is no meeting planned with the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, once the support of the Canary Coalition (CC) for his investiture has been agreed in exchange for compliance with the ‘Canarian agenda’, although it does not rule out some meeting days before the session.
In statements to journalists, he announced that next Wednesday he will meet with King Felipe VI at the Zarzuela Palace as part of the monarch’s round of contacts with the regional presidents and will provide him with a diagnosis of the economic and social situation of the archipelago.
Clavijo, who is also general secretary of CC, has also indicated that there will be no representatives of his party at the event called by the PP on September 24 in Madrid against the possible amnesty law.
“The events that the parties call, we are very respectful of them, we participate in our own calls,” he added.
