The Civil Guard investigates a man from Tenerife for selling patented products without authorization



The Civil Guard is investigating a 55-year-old man, a resident of the municipality of San Miguel de Abona, for selling products with designs patented by the owner, without the owner having given authorization to other people for their sale and distribution.

The investigation was carried out by agents belonging to the Investigation Area of ​​the Main Post of Granadilla de Abona and began after receiving a complaint that merchandise with patented designs was being exported from China to a business in the southern part of the island of Tenerife. .

The agents carried out the relevant investigations and asked a judge to enter and search the premises where the items were supposedly being sold. After the intervention, 22,817 towels and 420 magnets were sealed with the designs owned by the complainant, having an approximate market value of 55,600 euros. The proceedings carried out have been made available to the Judicial Authority.
