The Department of Citizen Participation develops the Granadilla unite us activities program, whose offer covers all the neighborhoods of the municipality. It consists of traditional clothing workshops, focused on developing elements of Canarian clothing; patchwork or patchwork technique, initiation in textile making by joining scraps or pieces of fabric, and crafts, which also includes drawing and painting.
This activity will be taught starting on the 18th, in the afternoon and in the houses of Culture of Chimiche, San Isidro, Charco del Pino and El Salto; the sociocultural premises of El Desierto, Los Blanquitos, Cruz de Tea, Casablanca, Atogo and Vicácaro and the premises of the Third Age Proteregra (town of Granadilla), Los Abrigos and El Médano.
The Councilor for Citizen Participation, Nacho Mendoza, states that “it is an initiative that energizes and offers a different activity that provides great cultural value.” In addition, the councilor explains that work is already underway on programming the activities for the year 2024, in which he hopes to increase the offer. To do this, Citizen Participation enables an online questionnaire for citizens to transmit their requests and proposals.
The registration period in Granadilla une nos une is open to those registered, with limited places and with 14 years as the minimum age to participate, authorization being necessary for minors. Those interested may register at the headquarters of the Citizen Service of the municipality or through the institutional website www.granadilladeabona.org.
