The realejera Playa del Socorro will be the scene tomorrow of the VI Great Wine Festival of Tenerifewhich will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at two in the morning, as planned by the Tourism Department of Los Realejos, which is organized in collaboration with the Cabildo and the six regulatory councils of the Island. It is the wine promotion event and gastronomic, as well as responsible and sustainable uses and habits with the environment. It will feature music by DJ Mingo Show, Got Soul Band and the group Ni 1 Pelo de Tonto.
There will be more than a hundred references from the wineries assigned to the six denominations of origin of Tenerife, among which there will be dry white bottled wines, barrel, fruity, rosé, fruity rosé, carbonic maceration reds, young reds, barrel reds, reds breeding and sweets.
Declared a Festival of Local Tourist Interest in the municipality, by plenary agreement adopted in July 2019, “it promotes the gastronomy, landscapes, the beach, culture, music and the possibilities of active tourism in the municipality,” says the mayor, Adolfo. The councilor recalls that the premise of the event is also to promote “responsible consumption and the promotion of ecologically sustainable and safe behaviors with the environment, with exquisite respect for the natural environment.”
In bus
Access to the beach by private vehicles is limited, so the City Council enables free bus transportation from 5:30 p.m., with departure points in the vicinity of the old Municipal Market and San Agustín Park. It is recommended to park at the San Agustín sports center, the Municipal Market esplanade or the public parking located behind the Town Hall. The dirt esplanade located next to the highway, at the beginning of the access road to Playa del Socorro, is also enabled for parking. Another alternative is the use of a shared taxi.
Catavinos and paper bags
For sale online are the tritan catavinos (sustainable material), at a price of 2 euros, through www.ticketary.es. Solidarity
In support of the history and recovery of the Castro y Magán Winery, devastated by the forest fire that took place in Tijarafe last July, other wines will be tasted in the Tendal & O’Daly Wines – Isla de La Palma tent. canaries donated by wineries in the Archipelago. The profits will be used to rebuild the facilities of this palm tree winery.
The mayor of Los Realejos highlighted that this is the first time that the Great Tenerife Wine Festival has received financial support from the Cabildo, for which he thanked the island councilor of the Primary Sector, Manuel Fernandez.
