Civil Guard agents belonging to the Playa de Las Américas Company, in the south of Tenerife, in collaboration with the K9 Canine Guide Unit of the Adeje Local Police, have arrested two men as alleged perpetrators of two crimes against public health in its form of drug trafficking.
The events occurred during the coordinated implementation in the municipality of various joint operational devices between both bodies within the framework of the fight against drug consumption and trafficking.
The first incident occurred when at a person and vehicle identification point, one of the detainees was intercepted heading to the Puertito area of Adeje carrying 10.8 grams of cocaine hidden under the center console of the vehicle.
The substance was detected by the dogs even though it was in an area that was very difficult to access.
The second criminal act occurred when the accused tried to evade another police identification point in the town of Callao Salvaje, and after being intercepted, he showed extreme nervousness that raised the suspicions of the agents.
Thus, with the collaboration of the dogs, 50 grams of hashish that he was carrying in one of his pants pockets were located, ready for sale.
The detainees, along with the proceedings carried out, were placed at the disposal of the court as guard of those from Arona.
