SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, September 5 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo of Tenerife will invest two million euros in the improvement of the TF-652, TF-653 and TF-662 in the municipality of Arona.
The Minister of Highways, Dámaso Arteaga, explains in a note that the actions “respond to the need to carry out a general improvement in the road safety conditions necessary for island roads, these are main axes of communication between the populations of the coastal strip of the municipality of Arona that are very busy.
Specifically, the work will be carried out on the TF-662, which runs parallel to the TF-1 highway on the mountain side and is accessed from the TF-66 near the Guaza interchange and ends at the TF-655.
The road has deteriorated areas along its route and, in rainy seasons, the ravines that cross the infrastructure pour large amounts of water and solids onto the surface of the road.
In this sense, Arteaga points out that the works will be divided into two sections: the first between Guaza and the gas station (PPKK 0+000 to 2+177), while the second will start from the gas station to PPKK 2+177 to 2+ 314.
The intervention has a budget of 1.3 million euros and an execution period of four months, once the work begins.
On the other hand, the Insular corporation has recently awarded the improvement of roads TF-652 and TF-653.
In the first case, the works will consist of the partial elimination and replacement of the pavement and improvement of road safety with the widening of the shoulder around KP 5+350 (La Estrella).
In the case of the TF-653 (Guargacho-Palm-Mar), in addition to improving the road surface, the shoulders will be widened and metal safety barriers will be installed to prevent the risk of accidents leading to an uneven road. important.
The cost of the works amounts to more than 800,000 euros and will have an execution period of four months, once the work has started.
