He Council of Tenerife promotes its commitment to the conservation of historical and cultural heritage through a grant of one million euros, of which each beneficiary may opt for a maximum amount of 20,000, intended for the maintenance of properties with value on the Island. They must be Assets of Cultural Interest (BIC) or in the process of being declared. The deadline for aid is 45 calendar days starting from the following its publication in the Official Gazette of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (BOP). Subsidies may be requested by both natural and non-profit legal persons, except the Catholic Church and Public Administrations, for the purpose of carrying out maintenance, conservation, restoration and consolidation works consisting of interventions on facades and roofs, as well as interiors on elements or parts of the property that retain their heritage value.
Eligible expenses are allocated to actions to be carried out, already carried out or in progress, with amounts generated since January 1, 2023.
Support for private
The insular director of Historical Heritage of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Isabel de Esteban, highlights that this aid for the maintenance of objects that correspond to her department They represent “an important boost when it comes to consolidating the conservation of many privately owned properties through public contributions.” He adds that this is intended to influence “the richness of the architectural and cultural heritage of Tenerife society».
