An eagle that escaped from its owner in Gran Canaria ended up on the island of Tenerifewhere lifeguards from an apartment complex and a biologist who was on the beach rescued her in distress in Punta del Hidalgo. The bird was being pecked by several seagulls that were eating it.. However, the rapid intervention allowed the animal to be brought to safety.
The owner of this bird of prey had already warned of its disappearance, so when the rescuers informed an animal protection center in Tenerife of the eagle’s presence, they already had information that its owner had reported its departure.
