A long provisional
The current IES Guaza emerged as an emergency solution 21 years ago, to address the demographic explosion that Arona registered at the beginning of this century. After three months of work, it was inaugurated on September 12, 2002, being the first modular educational center built in the Canary Islands. Today is the only one of Tenerife. During this time, the barracks that make up the center experienced great deterioration, presenting serious deficiencies as a result of their prolonged use. Its students come from Guaza, Parque de La Reina, Guargacho, Palm-Mar and part of Buzanada, all towns in Arona.
