Tensamba, the largest international festival of Brazilian culture, celebrates its 20th anniversary in style with the Rio singer, songwriter and guitarist Joyce Moreno and the Brazilian singer, instrumentalist, composer and producer Filó Machado. Both Brazilian artists will perform within the framework of this meeting that will last from September until next December.
In the case of Joyce Moreno, the artist will perform on October 7 at the Hotel Santa Catalina, in The Gran Canarian palms, and on October 8 at the Teatro Leal in La Laguna. Moreno is once again part of the Tensamba cartel after participating in the second edition of the festival and in 2010, where he participated in the Las Leyendas de la Bossa Nova concert, along with Roberto Menescal, Danilo Caymmi, Joao Donato and Clara Moreno.
On this occasion, attendees will be able to enjoy reinterpretations of many classic jazz and bossa nova pieces, and songs included in his albums Poesía, Palavra e som, Cançőes de Sidney Miller ao vivo no IMS, 50, or Eu sou mulher, eu sou happy, which he recorded with other singers such as Daniela Mercury, Alcione, Mônica Salmaso and Elba Ramalho.
For his part, the singer, composer and instrumentalist Filó Machado, will perform on September 29 at the Palmeras Room of the Hotel Santa Catalina, at the Royal Hideaway Hotel, in Gran Canariaand on September 30 at the Teatro Leal in La Laguna.
With more than 60 years of musical career and 13 recorded albums, Filó Machado has become a benchmark in Brazilian music. Awarded Best Author/Composer at the 2017 Professional Music Awards and nominated for a Latin Jazz Grammy, this master of music has performed at such important festivals as the Teatre de Bercy (Paris), Carnegie Hall (New York), Massey Hall (Toronto), Motion Club (Yokohama), the Kiev Theater (Ukraine) or the Sucre National Theater (Quito). He has also played with artists of the stature of Michel Legrand, Jon Hendricks, Silvain Luc and Gal Costa. On this occasion, Machado will offer a repertoire with which he is celebrating his 60 years in the world of music.
