The Cabildo of Tenerife has authorized the return to their homes of the 20 people from Santa Úrsula who were still evacuated as a precaution due to the forest fire.
Likewise, access to the area of Las Lagunetas (El Sauzal, El Rosario and La Matanza), La Orotava and the nuclei of Los Pelados and Las Dehesas (Güímar) has been authorized for the owners of farms, agricultural facilities and tool rooms. .
The operation against the fire, which is still in the stabilization phase, maintains 135 troops deployed on the ground, in addition to four helicopters, two from the Cabildo and two from the State, along with coordination and logistics personnel who continue to work on the emergency.
The ground troops belong to the Forestry Brigades and personnel from the Councils of Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro, the Tenerife Fire Consortium and the companies Tragsa and Gesplan.
In the municipalities affected by the fire, Güímar, Arafo, Fasnia, Candelaria, El Rosario, Tacoronte, El Sauzal, La Matanza de Acentejo, La Victoria de Acentejo, Santa Úrsula, La Orotava and Los Realejos, grade 3 measures remain activated .
This implies the prohibition of making fire in recreational areas and of traveling along forest tracks and trails.
The prohibition to stay in the mountains and make fire outdoors (bonfires, stoves, barbecues, gas stoves) is also maintained; pyrotechnic displays and the use of machinery and tools that cause sparks.
Nor may motor vehicles circulate on forest tracks for recreational purposes.
Hunting is prohibited in the municipalities affected by the fire, except in Güímar and Fasnia.
The following recreational areas and camping areas will remain closed: Chanajiga (Los Realejos), Hoya del Abade (La Victoria), La Caldera (La Orotava), La Laguneta Chica (Santa Úrsula), Las Calderetas (El Sauzal), Las Raíces ( El Rosario), Lomo La Jara (Tacoronte), Los Frailes (Arafo) and Ramón El Caminero (La Orotava).
The Cabildo has activated grade 1 measures in the municipalities not affected by the forest fire.
Thus, it is still prohibited to make a fire in recreational areas (bonfires, stoves, barbecues, gas stoves), pyrotechnic displays and work with machinery and tools that cause sparks.
As of yesterday, Tuesday, hunting, logging and the movement of motor vehicles on the network of forest trails for recreational purposes are allowed.
In the same way, you can travel along the tracks and forest trails and use the recreational areas, camping areas and camps (without using stoves or gas), as well as sporting events and pilgrimages on tracks and forest trails and cross country.
In any case, the population is requested to take extreme precautions throughout the island territory with any activity that could generate fires (tobacco, use of generators, electrical and pyrotechnic material).
The access roads to the Teide National Park via La Esperanza (TF-24) and La Orotava (TF-21) remain closed, as well as the TF-523 (Climb to Los Loros).
The accesses to Teide by Vilaflor (TF-21) and Chío (TF-38) are open, but only up to the Cable Car.
As for public transport, the only Titsa line that continues to be suspended is Line 348 Puerto de la Cruz-Orotava-Parque Nacional del Teide.
For their part, Lines 345 and 346 Puerto de la Cruz-Orotava-Aguamansa will only reach the Velo, while Line 342 Costa Adeje-Cristianos-Vilaflor-Teide National Park will only reach the Cable Car.
The following trails in the Teide National Park are completely closed: Trail No. 1 La Fortaleza, Trail No. 2 Arenas Negras, Trail No. 8 El Filo, Trail No. 14 Alto de Guamaso, Trail No. 17 Igueque, Trail No. 20 Volcán de Fasnia, Trail No. 21 Corral del Niño to La Yegua Blanca, Trail No. 25 Recibo Quemado, Trail No. 29 Degollada del Cedro, Trail No. 34 Montaña Limón, Trail No. 36 Alto de La Fortaleza and Trail No. 37 Cerrillar-Carnicería.
Trail No. 4 Siete Cañadas is partially closed: from the beginning at the El Portillo Visitor Center to its contact with Trail No. 30 Los Valles (Risco de La Papelera), while Trail No. 22 Lomo Hurtado is partially closed from the beginning in contact with the trail nº1 La Fortaleza until its contact with the trail nº33 Montaña Negra).
