SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug. 29 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife has authorized the award of emergency works to replace the transversal drainage of the TF-24 island highway at kilometer point 7+300 (El Rosario) due to the danger of possible subsidence of the road.
In this sense, the insular Highway Councilor, Dámaso Arteaga, explains in a note that during the cleaning work carried out last July by maintenance workers, the deterioration of the tube and its collapse was observed, making it necessary to replace it. of the existing tube to guarantee the stability of the road as it poses a risk to traffic safety because heavy vehicles pass through it.
The planned works will consist of the replacement of the tube; cleaning and clearing of the area; demolition of the existing pavement and replacement of sidewalks, walls and curbs.
The work will be carried out during daylight hours, so a detour for traffic will be enabled until the work is completed.
The work has a budget of more than 300,000 euros and the deadline for completion is six months.
