The Tenerife Forestry Brigade rescues two puppies in the area of the fire

This Thursday, August 24, members of the Forestry Brigade of the Cabildo de Tenerife (BRIFOR) rescued two puppies that were in the area of the fire that has been plaguing the island for ten days.

It has been the troops themselves who have shared the images of the two dogs whom they have named Arafo and Candelaria in “honor” of the place where the fire originated.

The puppies are reportedly safe. They took them to the vet and now they take refuge in a foster home, but they still don’t have a permanent home.

The fire is currently in the stabilization phase, with a lot of work ahead until it is considered extinguished, but this has allowed the return of the evacuated residents and also their pets, which numbered more than 450 in temporary shelters.
