SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug. 26 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Directorate of the Canary Islands Plan for Civil Protection and Emergency Attention due to Forest Fires (INFOCA) has decided to withdraw the seaplanes of the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (Miteco) due to the evolution of the forest fire in Tenerife, which maintains the entire perimeter consolidated and insured

This has been indicated by the Government of the Canary Islands, which adds that last night the rains recorded in the north of the island have managed to cool the area and increase the humidity, which has favored the work of the operation in the last hours and they have not been produced significant revivals.

The latest reconnaissance flights over the affected area confirm that the perimeter remains stabilized and some smoky spots and reproductions have been detected inside only in the Mamio area in La Orotava and in the La Hornaca area, in the municipality of Tacoronte.

For its part, the fire continues in the stabilized phase, which means that it is evolving within the established control lines, according to forecasts, and that the extinction efforts are directed towards its control.

A TOTAL OF 118 PERSONNEL BY LAND AND 7 BY AIR

The device planned for this Saturday is made up of 118 ground troops and 7 aerial means, and throughout the day it will be evaluated to continue with the de-escalation of intervening means.

The air quality has improved and is between reasonably good and regular, so special self-protection measures are no longer necessary as in previous days.

For their part, the accesses to the El Teide National Park by the TF-24 (La Esperanza), TF-21 (La Orotava) and the TF-523 (Subida a Los Loros), and all the accesses to the crown remain closed. forest, as well as trails to prevent the population from taking risks. Access to the emergency area that exceeds 14,000 hectares is also prohibited.

In this sense, the Technical Directorate of INFOCA recalls the need to maintain prudence during the weekend, and insists that in the municipalities affected by the fire it is not possible to access the mountain or carry out any type of activity in it, since that a very important intervention operation continues in the area, and it is necessary to keep the roads clear so that they can act quickly if necessary.
