SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug. 25 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife allocates 580,000 euros to support twenty cultural projects promoted by the island’s town halls and which are taking place this year.
The Councilor for Culture and Museums of Tenerife, José Carlos Acha, states in a note that “the twenty projects that will be subsidized are consolidated within the cultural programming that is offered throughout the island geography.”
For Acha, “the promotion that we make from the administrations facilitates the revitalization of the cultural sector, something that we want to highlight from the Cabildo and we will try to promote as much as possible to value the creative potential and generator of economy that we have in our island”.
This call that the Cabildo has resolved is for activities scheduled during 2023.
The aid is distributed in four modalities, depending on the budget.
Thus, for initiatives with a cost of more than 100,000 euros, the contribution will go to Cuadernos Escénicos (Garachico), Periplo Festival (Puerto de la Cruz), Suma Festival (Santa Úrsula) and Marea Musical (Candelaria).
The second modality includes events whose budget is between 40,000 and 100,000 euros, among which Easter Florida (Guía de Isora), Hipócritas (Garachico), and Érase stand out. The city of stories and words (Los Realejos), Historical Novel Festival (Tacoronte), Pequejoven Cultura (Candelaria) and Ale-Arte Cumbre de Bolico (Santiago del Teide).
The third category includes activities with a cost between 15,000 and 40,000 euros.
The eight projects that will receive funding are the Villa de El Sauzal Amateur Theater Festival; Circling (Garachico); Animated Tacoronte Conference; Music for you, a Rosario of culture (El Rosario); International Meeting of Verseadores Pepe Urbano (Fasnia); Tegueste and Abril Theater Festival* letters, culture, music and many more (Buenavista).
The fourth option to benefit from this call is reserved for festivals of special relevance with a budget of more than 150,000 euros, in the case of Mueca (Puerto de la Cruz) and MiradasDoc (Guía de Isora).
