SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug. 25 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife is going to undertake improvements in the facilities of the Valle Colino regional shelter, located in the municipality of La Laguna and managed by FECAPAP.
The directors of the Primary Sector and Animal Welfare, Manuel Fernández and Valentín González, visited this Friday the facilities of the regional shelter that has been a place of reception for animals displaced by the consequences of the fire during the days of emergency.
From FECAPAC they have transferred to the directors the improvement needs of these facilities that are located in the municipality of La Laguna, but also serve the municipalities of El Rosario and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, to keep the center “in the best possible conditions to give an adequate response to the needs of the animals it houses”.
Manuel Fernández and Valentín González announced their intention to promote these improvements from the island corporation, working in coordination with the town halls, “without losing sight of the need to implement a more efficient model for the care of animals,” says a note from the Cabildo .
Both directors endorsed their commitment to “work hand in hand with entities and groups in achieving objectives that allow improving the levels of animal welfare, both in the facilities that depend directly on the Cabildo, as well as those resources that are managed by protectors or associations “.
