He Council of Tenerife maintains the prohibition to make fire in recreational areas and to travel along the tracks and forest trails of the municipalities affected by the forest fire.
The island corporation maintains grade 3 measures activated in said municipalitieswhich implies, in addition to the aforementioned restrictions, the prohibition to stay in the mountains and make fire outdoors (bonfires, stoves, barbecues, gas stoves); pyrotechnic displays and the use of machinery and tools that cause sparks.
Besides, It will not be possible to circulate with motor vehicles on forest tracks for recreational purposes and the camping areas and campsites continue to be closed, collects a note from the corporation.
For the rest of the municipalities apply grade 2 measureswhich contemplate the prohibition of making fire in recreational areas, camping areas and campsites, burning agricultural or forest residues and bonfires.
Likewise, hunting activity continues to be suspended and work with machinery or tools is prohibited, as well as the use of elements that can generate sparks in agricultural or forest spaces, such as brushcutters and welding equipment.
Similarly, sporting events and pilgrimages on tracks and forest trails and off-road are not allowed.
The Minister of the Natural Environment, white pereznotes that “the fire is not controlledso it is necessary that citizens continue to comply with the instructions that are made from the direction of extinction of the fire “.
Thus, he indicates, “we recommend that the population not access or remain in the forest areas of the island of Tenerife and that they exercise extreme precautions throughout the island territory with any activity that could generate fires.”
The Council recalls that the access roads to the Teide National Park via La Esperanza (TF-24) and La Orotava (TF-21) remain closedas well as the TF-523 (Subida a Los Loros).
The accesses to Teide by Vilaflor (TF-21) and Chío (TF-38) are openbut only to the cable car.
For their part, most of the Titsa lines affected by the fire have recovered their service. The only one that remains suspended is Line 348 Puerto de la Cruz-Orotava-Teide National Park.
LLines 345 and 346 Puerto de la Cruz-Orotava-Aguamansa will only reach the Velowhile Line 342 Costa Adeje-Cristianos-Vilaflor-Parque Nacional del Teide will only reach the Cable Car.
