SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug. 24 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The General Directorate of Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has ordered this Thursday the end of evacuations in almost all the areas that were pending as a result of the forest fire that has affected Tenerife for nine days.
Thus, in the case of Tacoronte and Santa Úrsula there are no more evacuated people while in the case of El Sauzal the part corresponding to the nucleus of Las Lagunetas is still evacuated and in La Orotava the area of Izaña, in such a way that the normality in the Teide National Park.
The Canarian Government requests that access to the relocated areas be carried out only by the residents of those areas, as well as the workers and means of extinction, to avoid crowds that could hinder the work of the extinction and emergency teams .
In addition, the mobility of vehicles is limited to what is strictly necessary, in order not to hinder the fire-fighting device and the possibility of alterations in traffic being established and, specifically, in the directions of movement of some routes, to facilitate the movements of firefighting and emergency services.
