The air quality is once again very unfavorable this Wednesday in nineteen municipalities due to the forest fire in Tenerife, and especially in Los Realejos, La Orotava, Arafo and Candelaria. The 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Center has recalled that the smoke from forest fires is made up of a mixture of gases and small particles that are emitted by the combustion of vegetation and other materials.
During the night hours or at times when there is more accumulation of air in the north of the island, very unfavorable levels of air quality are reached, added 112.
Specifically, the very unfavorable air quality warning refers to the municipalities of Los Realejos, El Sauzal, La Matanza de Acentejo, La Victoria de Acentejo, Santa Úrsula, La Orotava, Puerto de la Cruz, on the northern slope of Tenerife. Los Realejos, El Tanque, Buenavista del Norte, Tacoronte, Los Silos, Garachico, Icod de los Vinos, La Guancha and San Juan de la Rambla. In the south it affects the municipalities of Arafo, Candelaria and Güímar.
