SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug. 23 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The management of the forest fire in Tenerife foresees that throughout this Wednesday there will be reactivations in different sources of the perimeter due to the high temperatures that are expected on the island and that can reach up to 34ºC, sources from 112 Canarias report.
On the night of this Tuesday there were already reproductions of fire in the upper part of the north and south slopes of the island that have been attacked by the means of extinction and for this day it is expected that the light aerial means will act on the north slope and the medium-sized ones intensify their work in the Güímar Valley, specifically in Las Dehesas and the Mal Abrigo area.
Due to the better evolution of the fire, on Tuesday night more than 8,300 people who were evacuated and belonging to the municipalities of El Rosario (except the area of Las Lagunetas), El Sauzal (except the Las Lagunetas area) were ordered to return home. Real Orotava from Tacoronte, San Cristóbal and all cross streets besides Lomo Piedras to La Fuente, La Fuente and La Caldera); La Matanza (all areas except the Las Lagunetas area), La Victoria, Los Realejos, La Orotava (all areas except the Izaña area and Teide National Park) and Santa Úrsula (all areas except the El Farolillo area, calle Cuesta Perera up to the limit with Lomo Hilo and Calle Los Lances, Las Tosqueras, Barranquillo, Fuente Gonzalo, Lomo La Mina, Camino El Monte and the upper area of Vera del Barranco).
