SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug. 21 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Meridiano Shopping Center has donated to the Red Cross of Santa Cruz de Tenerife all the bottles of water, in individual format, available in the hypermarket of the center to help the fire teams, forces and security forces that fight the fire that affects the island and that supposes about 700 liters.
The approximately 700 liters of water that have been donated are in individual and 70cl format, as required by the organization, to distribute among the firefighting teams that “fight tirelessly against the fire”, as reported by the shopping center in a press release.
In addition, this donation is “if possible more important” after there was a break in the Aguamansa canal, which feeds the north canal, thereby forcing restrictions on the use of water to ensure the supply of supply to homes .
The director of Meridiano, Rodo Jaraíz, has indicated that in these “very difficult” times “everyone must pitch in”, stressing that the shopping center’s commitment “to the community and to the island is beyond doubt” and hoping that this donation “contribute and help the emergency teams and those affected by the fire”.
