Air quality continues to be unfavorable in different parts of the Island
The recommendations to the population have been maintained since last August 17 due to worsening air quality in the area affected by the forest fire in Tenerife. Specifically, the area in which it has the greatest impact on the northern slope is Los Realejos, El Sauzal, La Matanza de Acentejo, La Victoria de Acentejo, Santa Úrsula, La Orotava, Puerto de la Cruz, Buenavista del Norte, Los Silos, Garachico, Icod de los Vinos, La Guancha and San Juan de la Rambla.
While on the southern slope, in Arafo, Candelaria, Güímar, Fasnia and Arico.
Recommendations for the population of the affected area:
• Avoid staying outside and carrying out intense or prolonged physical activities.
• Close doors, windows, if you have air conditioning put it in recirculation mode and with clean filters.
• Outside, the use of an FFP2 mask is recommended to avoid respiratory problems and protect the eyes as much as possible, wash them if necessary.
