Uber has launched this week in Tenerife its new vehicle services for group travel‘Uber Van’ for up to 6 people and ‘Van XL’ for up to 9 passengers.
As reported by the company in a press release, these two services are added to its already existing offer on the island of ‘Taxi’ and ‘Uber Black’ servicesand will be available between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. in this first phase of the launch.
In this way, ‘Uber Van’ and ‘Van XL’ will serve the municipalities of Guide to Isora, Adeje, Arona and Granadilla de Abonaincluding the Tenerife South – Reina Sofía airport.
Likewise, the company has indicated that it will monitor the operation to assess the possible expansion to other municipalities on the island.
In this regard, the general director of Spain and Portugal, Felipe Fernández Aramburu, has placed special emphasis on the “good reception” that his previous launches of taxi services and Uber Black had.
“And in response to the demand for a service for larger groups on the island, today we announce the launch of Uber Van and Van XL in Tenerife. We want to continue supporting the local tourism sector to improve mobility on the island in a season in which record tourist numbers are expected,” he commented.
