The Ministry of Social Welfare, Equality, Youth, Children and Families of the Government of the Canary Islands coordinates the tasks to assist the 26,000 people affected by the evacuations by the fire in Tenerife and concentrate them in a single meeting point in each municipality.
Until 6:00 p.m., a total of 12 centers have been put at the service of those affected with the necessary resources to be able to spend the night.
In addition to the necessary food for those affected, the Red Cross will deliver 56 clothing kits, 500 vinyl gloves, 90 hygiene kits, 112 blankets, 240 underpads and 10 inflatable stretchers to each of the triage centers.
MEETING POINTS AND WELCOME
The rosary
- Municipal Pavilion of El Chorrillo, where 16 residents need attention, although it has a capacity for 60 affected.
tacoronte
- Los Laureles Municipal Pavilion: Services will be installed to serve 65 evacuees.
the willow
- La Pirámide, in the area of the municipal market: 43 people will foreseeably stay.
The slaughter
- La Matanza Sports Complex Municipal Pavilion.
In this municipality there are 30 evacuees who have requested attention from the administrations. They will be housed in the Municipal Residence.
The victory
- Municipal Sports Pavilion: 400 affected will be assisted.
Both accommodations for the elderly account for 160 people who are currently receiving help from social services.
Saint Ursula
- Terrero de Lucha El Calvario: 55 people will sleep in the enabled warehouse.
the orotava
- Quiquirá Pavilion: 100 affected.
- Celestino Hernández Pavilion – La Perdoma: 100 people stay.
- The Salesians: 90 residents.
The Realejos
- Basilio Labrador Sports Pavilion: currently houses 250 people.
