The president of the Government, Pedro Sanchezwill visit next monday the area affected by the fire declared last Tuesday in Tenerifesources from La Moncloa informed EFE.
He fire took a breather today by normalizing its progress since early morning after the first few days of unusual behavior, although it is still uncontrolled and already affects nine municipalities. This normalization has allowed the firefighting teams to contain the head of the fire in La Esperanza and lift the confinement of 3,820 people, although it remains for 1,671.
Until the next assessment of the situation the fire has consumed an area of more than 3,700 hectares and a perimeter of 41.9 kilometers and covers the municipalities of Arafo, Candelaria, El Rosario, La Victoria, La Matanza, Tacoronte, Santa Úrsula, El Sauzal and La Orotava.
