The aerial means that work against the forest fire that started in Monte de Arafo (Tenerife) and that currently affects eleven municipalities on the island have carried out more than 1,700 water discharges since the start of the flames last Tuesday , August 15, which means 2.7 million liters.
As reported by the Government of the Canary Islands, two new seaplanes will arrive this Saturday and another cargo plane on the ground this Sunday, so there would be 22 air resources of the INFOCA Plan device.
In addition, by land, the 265 troops are stationed during this day throughout the perimeter and there are 19 aerial means, although the smoke prevents them from acting in several areas without risk.
The staff is working hard and despite the characteristics they have not stopped intervening, while the incorporation of 36 members of the Ministry’s forestry brigades is also expected.
